Charity News
Proud to be a Charity Trustee.
I am proud to be a Trustee for this local Coventry charity. It is my way of giving back to my community.
We, like many other charities, are looking for additional trustees to help us (voluntary role) particularly if you have experience in finance, insurance or IT, and have a genuine interest in supporting disabled children. Please get in touch to arrange a no-obligation chat.
You can help the charity in a number of ways including using their soft play centre and Party facilities at Purple Planet.
I am fundraising during the 2026/27 tax year for Tiny Tim's Children's Centre - we are now on fundraising part two (due to limited time for fundraising on facebook) you can keep up to date with my progress and donate here:
Welcome to my first BLOG in a while!
I wanted to share the Customer Journey for my 1-2-1 private clients, from realisation that help is needed through to aftercare.
1-2-1 Drawing & Talking (12 week programme) is still my most booked service, and is assessible to anyone aged 4-104 years old.
I NEED HELP
Where do I even start?
At that moment you reach realisation (or even crisis) point that you need help with your emotional wellbeing, what do you do?
Well, many will think about it some more, some will do a bit of googling, a few may talk to a friend or even make a GP appointment. Most will talk themselves out of doing anything!
But when you ARE ready, you will probably soon realise that NHS support is limited; often online or by phone, and requires self-referral (something that by that point you may not have the capacity, confidence, time or headspace to do).
If you do manage that, you could be subject to a long waiting list.
You may browse the internet... you may even find my website!
A few will then call, text or email, with no real idea of what to expect, or what to ask.
So here we have a map of that first step...
I deal with people who are vulnerable, even if only temporarily while they feel at their lowest. (This is why I have DBS that covers work with children and adults).
- I don't do cold calling to individuals
- I don't do pushy sales - in fact I have a NO HARD SELL GUARANTEE
- You will be given time to think about your decision
- You will be given a FIXED price based on the service you need, with the best price I can offer at the time
- You will be offered weekly, monthly, 4-weekly etc payment options
We will discuss appointment times that fit into your lifestyle (you don't need rigid appointments that make your life even harder).
You will get a contract (that protects your consumer rights and clearly sets out my terms).
If you decide my service is not for you - that is PERFECTLY FINE - I won't try to change your mind (therapy is a personal thing).
If you come back to me months later and say "Now I'm ready" then I will greet you like a loyal customer and move forward with the process!
What happens during
my therapy?
Drawing & Talking is a 12 week programme, completing all 12 sessions is likely to have the most beneficial outcome.
The technique is rooted in attachment theory, so having the planned ending at the end of session 12 is important.
Sometimes it can take a year to complete those 12 sessions that were supposed to last 3 months!
- because life gets in the way
- because of illness or injury
- because of work rotas, childcare or transport issues
I offer flexible appointments - I just ask you to give me as much notice as possible.
I will keep your folder SAFE no matter how long your 12 sessions take.
You and your drawings will be HELD safely, with empathy, compassion and confidentiality, and without judgement, throughout the process.
I will try and make the process as comfortable as possible by offering reasonable adjustments and sending appointment reminders by text.
What happens
after my
12 sessions?
I can tell you what WON'T happen - I won't be telling you that you need more sessions and that you should book more!
Hopefully, by session 12 you will have had some element of resolution and will be feeling lighter and more hopeful about the future.
I will hand your folder of drawings to you.
You will have the chance to write an anonymised review
There are opportunities to access my follow-up service after a minimum of 3 months break. It is important to allow yourself recovery and further healing time after therapy, and the chance to prove to yourself that you can survive an ending.
I also offer "refer a friend" discounts via past clients - your recommendations are my best advertisement!
I am happy to signpost you to other services and groups that may help you in the future.
If you are READY to make that enquiry now, please do get in touch.
