October 2025 Blog SCHOOLS
As we approach the end of the long first half term of the academic year, it is a great time to evaluate WHO may benefit from my support, and WHY it helps to LIFT LIVES and RAISE RESULTS.
LIFE HAPPENS.
Over the summer (or since), things may have changed for any member of your school community, that may affect their ability to be fully present in school, things like;
- bereavement
 - serious illness
 - relationship breakdowns
 - house move
 - new baby
 - adoption / fostering
 - financial changes

Any of these things can put extra pressure on all members of a family, from the youngest to the oldest. Worry, stress, time pressures, unprocessed trauma can seriously affect someone's ability to engage;
- lack of concentration / ability to focus
 - emotional dysregulation
 - memory impairment / lack of cognitive function
 - reduced empathy and emotional resilience

all of this can reduce the ability to learn, teach, & perform usual duties.
A 12 week programme of D&T could help a pupil or staff member to process those events and how they feel about them, freeing up headspace to improve academic (teaching & learning) outcomes.
I would love the opportunity to discuss how I can help
LIFT LIVES and RAISE RESULTS in your school.
FREE professional discussions are available about how I can help your school community to LIFT LIVES and RAISE RESULTS. Improving emotional wellbeing for pupils or staff can greatly improve TEACHING and LEARNING outcomes.
My diary is now opening for JANUARY bookings, but I do have some capacity for 12 week programmes starting after HALF TERM.
I have a great relationship with one Coventry school who have booked me for 7 consecutive terms so far - they see the value is what I do.
But as a small business I would love the opportunity to build other school relationships in this way - so why not book a no-obligation call or meeting?
ABSOLUTELY "NO HARD SELL" GUARANTEED.

EARLY BOOKING DISCOUNTS are available to returning schools now for JANUARY.
25% INTRODUCTORY DISCOUNTS are available to schools making their FIRST booking with me.  (Including bookings for Autumn 2).
I quite often get the impression that schools THINK working with me will cost a fortune...
We don't have the budget...
Well let me try and put some perspective in here about cost;
- I am experienced in delivering this intervention, it is not one of many tasks I have to complete every day (Quality Service)
 - I provide ALL materials for the sessions (No Hidden stationery or equipment costs)
 - I am a self-employed sole trader (No Extra PAYE / Pension costs or VAT)
 - You are not tied in to long term contracts; you only book when you need it
 - For Primary Schools this support can be provided for 5 children for the price of just 1 child's Pupil Premium Funding

PLUS Your in-house staff can continue doing their amazing work!
This is a GREAT VALUE, EFFECTIVE intervention that really makes a positive difference to pupil's lives, enabling them to access learning to their full potential.
Many schools (locally) will be around the half term point...
One school responded to my contact saying:
"We are awaiting some EHCP decisions, and if this is mentioned in them, we will be in touch."
NEWSFLASH!
- This intervention is not exclusive to children with SEND or EHCPs
 - This intervention, delivered to the right child, can benefit the whole class and beyond
 - We shouldn't be withholding support whilst decisions are made (especially considering the high number of refusals for diagnosis or EHCP at first attempt, and long waits for answers).

Let's talk PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING
In Coventry there are HIGH numbers of eligible children.
These include;
- those eligible for FREE school meals (or who have been in the last 6yrs)
 - LAC and some previously LAC (looked after children)
 - Children of Armed Forces Personnel (or were in past 6yrs, and those who receive compensation for death in service)

PPF can be used for Eligible Pupils
PPF can be used to support other pupils with identified needs
PPF can be used for whole-class interventions which may also benefit non-disadvantaged pupils
My services fall under WIDER STRATEGIES (valid PPF spending);
- supporting pupil social emotional and behaviour needs
 - supporting attendance
